To The Wild will from time to time share some stories, destination suggestions and tips on our site. We aim to inspire people and families to slow down, go outside and explore the nature around us.

As humans, it is inherently in our nature to look for adventure and discover the world. Nowadays, with the majority of people living in cities, it might be simple to lose contact with nature. The good news is that we are surrounded by nature, and there are several possibilities to get back in touch with it and enjoy everything that it has to offer.

Nature, movement and health

One of the most obvious benefits of being outdoors is the opportunity to get some movement and exercise. Hiking, running, biking, and even just a walk through the woods or a park can provide a great workout. But the benefits of nature go far beyond just physical fitness. Studies have shown that spending time in nature can also improve mental health and well-being. Just a few hours in the great outdoors can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and improve overall mood.

Bonding with family and friends

Being outside is also a great opportunity to spend time with and connect with family and friends. Whether you’re hiking through the woods, playing in the waves, or just enjoying a picnic in the park, being in nature provides the perfect setting for shared experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.

Appreciation for the world we live in

But the benefits of nature extend beyond just personal health and happiness. Protecting and preserving the natural world is vital for the health of our planet, and by exploring and experiencing it firsthand, we can gain a greater appreciation and understanding of the need to protect and conserve these precious resources.
